The Uptown Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and perpetuation of Francesville as a strong and vibrant community. Learn more about the impact we have and join us in bringing about a positive change.
Vision Statement
The vision of the Uptown Project is to create a unique and vital downtown that enriches the business community, embraces our heritage and culture, encourages artistic expression, and promotes quality activities/events that instill a “sense of place” in our community.
Past Projects

The Opera block park
In 2022, the Opera Block Park was constructed with the help of a grant from the Community Foundation of Pulaski County allowing us to transform a vacant downtown lot into a pocket park available to the community.

Jenna Morello Flower Mural
In 2021, through partnerships with Wabash Heartland Innovation Network, Tippecanoe Arts Federation, and the Community Foundation of Pulaski County, a beautiful mural was completed on the Neihouser Building by New York artist, Jenna Morello.

Uptown Music/Sound System
A Community Foundation of Pulaski County Grant in 2017 made it possible to complete the "Music on the Streets" project. A sound system with microphones was purchased for Francesville community use.

Park Improvements
In 2019, a Carrol White REMC-CoBank Grant was used to purchase musical instrument activities and two trash containers for the Francesville Town Park.
